All physicians are welcome to care for their patients at Vondy House. If you do not have a physician, our palliative physician team will provide your care.
The admission process is easy. You can be admitted directly to Vondy House from your home, or from hospital or nursing home."

To ensure we can provide the right level of care in a safe and supportive environment, the following criteria help determine eligibility for admission:
- The individual is receiving care through the Extra-Mural Program
- A physician has determined a life expectancy of six months or less
- A Do Not Attempt Resuscitation (DNAR) order is in place
- The individual holds a valid New Brunswick Medicare card
- There is no risk of wandering or behaviors that cannot be safely managed in our setting
- The individual and their family understand the diagnosis and prognosis, and have chosen comfort-focused care only
- The level of medical care needed does not exceed what we can provide outside a hospital setting
- You must be a resident of Miramichi or the surrounding communities or have family members in the area.
